I‘m 57 yr old. I started running about 4 yrs ago. I’d come back from a vacation in Las Vegas. I saw a photo of myself in swim trunks and smh. I had gotten my weight up to 278 lbs. and already on cholesterol pills.
I told myself I need to loose weight. I joined this running group on the south side of Chicago. Started eating better running regularly. Did some 5K’s and later some half marathon’s.
I got my weight down to 238 after about 6 months. No more cholesterol pills. Running has been very good to me. I still do it not as much tho, just to stay in shape now. “One mile at a time.”
